Book Reviews

Looking to see what books I've given reviews, or trying to remember a review you've already read? Well, you'll find them all here!  Book reviews will be listed alphabetically by title.
Oh! And if you have any books you'd like me to consider reviewing (be they your own works, a friends work, or just something you're wondering about) feel free to request it!  However, just so you know I do not/will not read books that are: erotica or anywhere close to being it or books that are in anyway occult fiction. I am a Christian, so there are some things that I simply will not read.

  1. I have noticed you really enjoy reading fairytale retellings so I was wondering if you have ever read daughter of the forest by Juliet marillier? It's really good; it's not ya but she does have two ya series that I have heard were good. Also beauty by Robin McKinley and the goose girl by Shannon hale were amazing! And I am planning on reading cinder by Marissa Meyer this year which is supposed to be the best ya fairytale retelling series of all time. I am excited to see what I think and I would love for you to review it so I can hear your thoughts on it. Also I was wondering if you are open to reviewing adult fantasy along with ya fantasy? I love both but I know straight up fantasy doesn't appeal to everyone.I think you might really enjoy Brandon sanderson if adult fantasy is a genre you want to try though. Anyways these are just a few authors/books that I would love to hear your opinions on:) But if you don't want to review them I completely understand just thought I would throw a few of my favorite books out there in case they interested you. By the way great blog! Love that you talk about book to movie adaptations too:)

    1. I think I may have some books by a few of those authors in my 'to read' list on Goodreads. Lol. I did try to read Cinder, I quit after 1 paragraph because the grammar was so bad. Depends on the book. There are some great adult fantasy out there, but you have to sift through a lot of trash sometimes to find them. Will see what I can do. Thank you! Means a lot to me that someone is actually reading and enjoying my blog. :)

    2. I may not like Cinder then and I know what you mean about sifting through fantasy there seems to be a lot of poorly written novels in the genre but there are some amazing ones too :)

    3. The concept behind Cinder is quite interesting. However, I couldn't get past the first sentence being a run-un. Also found the writing style to be lacking. Perhaps it gets better, but to me when a book starts off with incorrect grammar it is never a good sign.
