Hi, all!  Welcome to my blog "The Ladybug's Library"!  I'm a big time book lover and word nerd.  I also happen to work part-time at one of the local libraries in my area.  This job has only fueled my nerdiness.

The Blog:

I have always had a love for words, well, except for when it came to spelling in school (*shudders* I hated spelling); I’m meaning word/name meanings/origins, languages, alphabets, etc.  In fact, I actually have a collection of different alphabets! (Of course, being the geek I am, not all of them are from real languages, and others are from extinct languages. My collection includes: Elvish (of multiples varieties), Borg, Romulan, Klingon, and D'ni among the fictional languages, and Cuneiform and various Futharks and Runic alphabets among the dead languages.)

So, this blog is all about celebrating this love and other closely related interests.  You can expect to see posts about obscure words and their meanings/origins, word games, books and book reviews, writing ideas, book vs film adaptations, names and their meanings/origins, book related art, and so on and so forth.
